ICF Rome began on Easter Sunday, 1988, with a commitment to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and form a faith community among the English-speaking foreign community of Rome.
From a small beginning in an Italian church classroom the ministry has expanded to include ethnic groups, Italians, and foreigners of many languages.
ICF has ministered to thousands of foreign visitors and residents of Rome; from refugees to diplomats, from literally every part of the world. Today, ICF is composed of 250 regular members from more than 45 nations.
Since 1988, ICF has continually been involved in the planting of new churches throughout Italy. Bible schools have been established for the training of church leaders and pastors. Fellowship has developed with Italian churches and joint ministry projects established.
Since 2001, ICF Rome has maintained a WELCOME CENTRE strategically located in the heart of the city. Ministry happens 7-day-a-week at the WELCOME CENTRE.
Prayer groups, Bible Study groups, women's and young adult groups all use the centre during the course of the week. Evangelism training and Global University classes are also conducted weekly. The Centre also provides office space, an English library, a Prayer Room, and Gospel literature for distribution in many languages.
International Christian Fellowship believes that, according to the New Testament the church is comprised of all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and have submitted their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We, the leaders and members of ICF bind ourselves in the spirit of unity, peace, and love, desiring to express our belif in the one true God, in full submission to the Lord Jesus Christ. We preach the Gospel of Christ to all men, gather for worship, and organize ourselves for ministry. We belive in the priesthood of all believers, and that all believers in Christ are ministres.
Our mission is to reach people of all nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and gather them together as the family of God in the city and province of Rome, to the praise of His Glory, to encourage spiritual growth in a truly international fellowship and to equip belivers to reach their world for Jesus.
We belive ...
... that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritatative written Word of God
... that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
... in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to this Earth in power and glory.
... that salvation from the guilt and penalty of sin comes by grace through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
... that he who puts his faith in Christ is regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
... in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
... that the baptism in the Holy Spirit , according to Acts 2:4, empowers the believer for service.
... in supernatural divine healing through faith in Jesus Christ.
... in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
